EXCELLENT Based on 66 reviews Posted on ClaudiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had such a wonderful experience with PetCoach’s home Canine and Fitness Conditioning sessions for our pup, Willow. Webster was incredibly patient and encouraging. It was amazing to see her grow in confidence and strength while genuinely enjoying every session. We also picked up so many practical tips that we can continue using at home. Thank you for making fitness such a positive and fun experience for Willow, we highly recommend PetCoach!Posted on Chris CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We came to Pet Coach SG with our Dachshund who was reactive and difficult to manage. Shafik's approach has made a huge difference for our puppy so far! He's passionate about what he does and taught our whole family practical handling techniques we actually use day to day. We can see our pup improving day by day, and he's now much more manageable. Highly recommend Shafik and the team!Posted on Qwendolyn LeeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Before working with Shafik for our little leash-reactive gangster, we tried everything we could think of to help with his reactivity, but had little progress. From the very first session, Qiai and Shafik gave us clarity on how to understand Scooby and the skills we needed to help him. Shafik also showed us that many of the things we thought were impossible with Scooby were actually achievable - it just takes time, patience, consistency, and the right guidance. After 5 sessions, we’ve already seen a difference. Scooby is now able to disengage from his triggers much more quickly and can look at other dogs without immediately lunging or barking (at a distance for now, but we’re confident that will continue to improve with time). There were times when Scooby seemed to become more reactive (progress is never linear), and we felt discouraged. But whenever that happened, Shafik was always there to offer additional advice and practical tips, even between sessions. When we applied the suggestions, Scooby got back on track and continued making progress. Having that level of support and reassurance throughout the journey has been invaluable. Beyond his knowledge and training skills, Shafik has been incredibly patient with all our questions, is always punctual, and provides detailed, practical notes after every session so we know exactly what to continue working on at home. He even goes the extra mile by coordinating with other dog owners so their dogs can act as training decoys for Scoobs, something we especially appreciate since we’re total social recluses. Most importantly, Scooby absolutely loves training with Shafik. Sometimes we think that he likes Shafik more than us 🤣 Engaging Shafik has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for Scooby. We’re so grateful for all the support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely caring trainer!Posted on Wee Meng SimTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are current engaging trainer Shafik to help us train our Pom. He is very responsible and responsive. Always on time and ready to start the training. Our Pom is getting much love and training on basics command. He is attentive to our issues with our Pom and offers great ideas on solving them. Overall experiences with him is great. Totally will recommend his services to people who want to train their pet.Posted on Kathy WongTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had one on one sessions with Qiai to help us with Nori’s reactivity issue. He would lunge, growl or bark at almost every dog he met on walks. Imagine our stress! Qiai was patient and professional in guiding us through each session, with step by step follow up notes and suggestions on what we could work on in between the sessions. She equipped us with knowledge and techniques to help with his anxiety and reactivity towards other dogs when out on walks. Demonstrated how it’s done, what to look out for, including the small details. It was reassuring and encouraging to have her alongside us working through the reactivity issues - gave us and nori the confidence to go for walks, even in crowded evening hour. We are so glad and thankful that the once dreaded walks are now beginning to feel more normal and enjoyable. Thank you Qiai! Highly recommend.Posted on Damien O'GradyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did 3 sessions with Qiai to work on Kobe's reactivity and impulse control. Over the course of the sessions, Kobe has improved significantly. Qiai’s instructions were clear and practical, and the methods she used were effective and easy to follow. Overall, a very positive experience and I’m really glad we worked with her. I would highly recommend to other dog owners.Posted on Yuanyu HuangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The teacher is very professional and willing to shares. I joined the fitness class with my dog! I learned a lot and it’s really helpful. And have to highly recommend puppies class, it’s really helpful for new paw parents using the right methods to bounding with the puppies. My dog improves so much after we are using the right methods. Can’t appreciate more of each classes. Qiai is a very professional and patient teacher to all the puppies. We learned so much from her.Posted on Daphne HoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did five sessions with Qiai to work on my golden retriever’s reactivity and impulse control. Over the course of the sessions, Katie has improved significantly. She now walks much better, is able to recover quickly even in more stimulating situations (like meeting people she likes), and can notice other dogs and move away calmly without reacting. Qiai’s instructions were clear and practical, and the methods she used were effective and easy to follow. I also really appreciated the support in between sessions, which made a big difference in staying consistent. Overall, a very positive experience and I’m really glad we worked with her.Posted on Reuben FroudeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Before we approached Qi Ai, we couldn’t leave our pup alone at all without a full blown panic attack. We quickly saw progress following her plans, and before long he has become comfortable on his own for many hours. We are amazed with his progress!Posted on SY ChanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Petcoach has been such an important part of our dog’s journey over the past 1.5 years. We started with the Ruff Rovers program, and it has been incredible to see Rafa’s confidence grow with each outing. We are so grateful to Qiai and Webster for their patience and expertise in helping Rafa learn to engage with the outdoors and feel more at ease in the world around him — since he can be quite a nervous handful especially when he sees other dogs. These days, whenever Rafa sees Qiai’s van, he knows he’s in for a great time and happily greets her. Seeing him so excited and confident brings us indescribable joy. In addition to Ruff Rovers, Rafa has also been attending ATC for the past four months. We really appreciate their thoughtfully curated program, which includes fitness, cooperative care, calmness exercises — and most importantly, NAP TIME! Starting fitness training at a young age is important to us, and we’ve enjoyed learning exercises that help build Rafa’s strength and confidence. We truly value the care and attention given to each dog, and we feel completely at ease knowing the Petcoach team is always looking out for Rafa. Highly recommend!

FAQs on Canine Fitness
What is canine conditioning?
Yes, canine conditioning, or K9 fitness, is a crucial aspect of dog training that focuses on physical exercises to improve a dog’s health, strength, and agility. Professional trainers advocate integrating it into training routines not only to tackle behavioral issues but also to elevate the dog’s overall well-being. Find out more about what to expect from a Canine Conditioning Coach!
Through diverse exercises, it’s possible to enhance your dog’s cardiovascular health, muscle tone, and coordination. This practice not only bolsters physical health but also strengthens the bond between pet and owner, supporting a positive relationship.
Tailored to fit each dog’s unique needs, especially with professional guidance, canine conditioning aligns with modern training methods to either teach new skills or boost fitness levels, underpinning the significance of this practice in a dog’s care regimen.
How much exercise does my dog need?
Ensuring your furry friend gets the right amount of exercise is key for their health and happiness. Most dogs thrive on 30 minutes to 2 hours of activity daily, but it really depends on their breed, age, and energy level. It’s all about finding what works best for your pup. High-energy breeds may need more intense activities like running, while a leisurely walk might be enough for older or smaller dogs.
Mixing physical and mental exercises keeps your dog engaged and helps prevent behavior issues. Think fun games, puzzles, and regular obedience training. If you’re unsure about the best exercise plan, a chat with a certified dog trainer can make all the difference. They can offer personalized advice to keep your dog happy, healthy, and well-behaved. Remember, it’s about creating a balanced routine that fits your dog’s unique needs.

How can I improve my dog's fitness and train them to be fit?
Boosting your furry friend’s fitness involves a mix of physical activities, brain games, and steady training. Certified dog trainers suggest starting with a balanced plan focusing on both exercise and behaviour training. Remember, a strong bond based on trust and positive vibes is key.
Mix up their routine with walks, runs, agility courses, and fun games. This keeps them physically fit and mentally sharp, tackling any naughty behaviour. Stick to positive reinforcement—treats and praises work wonders for encouraging good behavior.
Stuck on a tricky behaviour issue? A professional dog trainer can be a game-changer, offering customized plans and new tricks tailored to your pup’s needs. A solid routine of training and fun activities strengthens your bond and leads to a joyful, healthy, and obedient dog.
What are conditioning workouts for dogs?
Conditioning workouts for dogs are structured routines aimed at improving your furry friend’s physical fitness, strength, and happiness. These exercises, tailored by professional dog trainers, are designed to meet the specific needs of different breeds and individual dogs. By using a variety of training methods, you can address behavioral issues and enhance your bond with your pet, teaching them better manners and behaviors.
Conditioning workouts are great for tackling common problems like obesity, anxiety, and hyperactivity, promoting a healthier, more content pet. For those looking to boost their dog’s fitness and behavior, a consultation with a certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA) can offer the guidance needed to create an effective conditioning plan.
Is walking uphill good for dogs?
Yes, incorporating uphill walks in your dog’s routine is highly recommended by professional trainers, including us at Pet Coach SG. Hill walks offer numerous benefits for both pets and their owners. It’s not just great physical exercise that builds muscle and boosts heart health, but it also mentally engages your dog, helping to solve behavioural problems by introducing them to new, stimulating environments.
Including inclines in your training strengthens your bond, providing perfect moments for teaching and connecting. Diverse exercises like hill walks are key to a well-balanced, content, and obedient dog. Considering new commands or addressing behavioural issues? A consultation with a certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA) could customise the ideal strategy for you and your furry friend.
